Meet The Team

Samantha Lane is the Director of Appeals and Clinical Auditing for Coordinated Therapy Solutions, where she is responsible for monitoring all clinical programs with an emphasis on ADR, Denials, and Appeals management. Samantha acts as a direct support to the Regional Therapy staff and Clinical Reimbursement team ensuring all federal, state, and local guidelines are maintained accordingly.

Samantha is a 2005 graduate of Mountain State University specializing in Occupational Therapy. She brings over 18 years of compiled knowledge in the Long-term Care spectrum, with an emphasis on the Geriatric population and Skilled Nursing Facilities. During her career, she has held titles ranging from Treating Clinician, Director of Rehab, Area Manager, Regional Director of Therapy Services, and Director of Appeals and Education.

At Coordinated Therapy Solutions, Samantha brings added value to our already sound operational and clinical approach by monitoring the quality and appropriateness of rehab services provided through monthly audits, identifying deficiencies in workflow, delivery, or other contributing factors leading to denials, making recommendations for process improvements to reduce/eliminate denials, monitoring the status of all denial work queues, working with Operations and Reimbursement leaders to ensure timely resolution of appeals, gathering and assembling documentation for ADR, denials, and appeals submission in a timely manner as per guidelines set by requesting parties, tracking and trending payer denials, communicating monthly data to Senior leadership regarding root causes of denial (i.e., discrepancies in patient account information, documentation, etc.), demonstrating detailed knowledge of managed care contracts and various payer medical policies, and performing additional assignments while maintaining current knowledge of the denial management field by independently following industry trends, as well as by completing any required ongoing training and instruction.

Samantha is passionate about empowering others through education and providing the tools that are needed for confidence created through success. Her outlook on Denials and Appeals management is feeling as though she is being given an opportunity to advocate for both the patient in receipt and therapist providing the care in question. This is very rewarding to her, as she fights for what is right in the industry.

In addition, Samantha is a dedicated wife and mother of 3, and enjoys nothing more than supporting and cheering her children on in their respective sports. When not working, you will find her at a ballfield, the lake, or enjoying a fun night out exploring local restaurants.
